Dear Learning Community,
The year is coming to an end, and we would like to take the opportunity to thank all who have actively been a part of the openHPI community.
Big Year-End Survey
We would like to know more about how helpful and sustainable our online courses are for our learners daily lives. We have therefore created a year-end survey and would be very grateful if as many of you as possible could participate. The survey takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Thank you very much in advance. With your participation you help us to improve the platform and especially the certification process.

New Courses on openHPI
For those who have not yet seen it, last week, we released the openHPI course program for 2019 with lots of new courses.
Besides a series of workshops on the topic of the “Basics of Cybersecurity,” we are looking forward to focusing on issues such as design thinking, intercultural teamwork, 50 years of Internet, and patent law. Furthermore, we are happy to offer a junior course entitled “How to program my first mini-computer,” which addresses young people who are 13 and older in particular.
Some courses will be added within the coming weeks and during the course of the next year. It is therefore worth your while to regularly check the openHPI website.
We hope you enjoy browsing the courses and discovering those of interest to you!
Unchartered Waters – The HPI Knowledge Podcast (in German)
Last but not least, we’d like to mention our new podcast series, which kicks off HPI’s 20th anniversary celebration.
We start on January 9th with the title “Digital New Territory – The HPI Knowledge Podcast.” Prof. Dr. Christoph Meinel will present the new format which picks up exciting topics from HPI. Every two weeks you can listen to a new program on https://hpi.de/medien/podcast.html. The series will be moderated by Leon Stebe, the reporter of Inforadio-News.
We wish you happy holidays and a great new year!
